Model year 41-42 4 cyl. in half ton used some 9N tractor parts in engine, such as flywheel, crankshaft and intake/exhaust manifold. . They carry 9N part #s. Block , timing cover and head would be different.Block had a hole for fuel pump, timing cover had front engine mounting . head had hole for temp gauge. For 1940 I don't know what they used as my parts book does not list it. Cam would be different too as it drove the fuel pump.
