My father bought this splitter about 4 years ago, I never used it or seen it work. Well he told me in August I could use it to split some chunks of wood I got. I have a horizontal splitter and a 3pt tractor splitter, but I think he wanted to be helpful and offered me his. We started it up at his house and the ram wasent moving as fast as my brothers which I've seen work, snd is the same splitter. We check the hydro oil and it's below the low mark, and the pump is really noisy. Dad said it gets faster after it warms up? Ya dad it's 75 degrees out. Any ideas what's wrong with it? I told him I'm not using it and possibility damamaging it further, which I think he may have already done.
