Newer tractors have too many computerized components to have much success diagnosing anything yourself. I ended up spending twice as much as I should have on my JD compact utility, for a similar problem.
Best get it on a trailer and back to the dealer while its running, and let them run their diagnostics- probably cheaper in the long run.
