I have a gang of parts that I need a Q & A about. The first Q is what is the second cable out of the transmission and what it does? What I call the first cable hooks to the dash mounted shifter which I do have. The second cable is an orphan and I have nothing to hook it to. There is a hole in the top of the trans, about the size of a cantaloupe, that must be the mount for something maybe related to this second cable??What is it and what do I need? Second question: is there an external way to tell a 134" OHV 6XX series from a 172" 8XX engine. I do not have to disassemble the engine but I would like to know what size it is. Back in the racing days, we could pump the engine into a P & G checker for a quick displacement check.
