I would bet most folks will still get paid, unless it goes for over two weeks.
Things may have changed, but when I was with the USDA in the 80's, I went through two or three shutdowns.
Since we were paid every two weeks, Pay Periods, we would get a few days of staying home ( I farmed while I was off), then the situation was resolved, then the pay period rolled around and we got paid, cause they now had the money.
It is just that millions will get days off, nothing gets done, (maybe a good thing) and we (the taxpayer) still pays them.
