I Probly spent as many hours riding on the fender of an Oliver 77 as I did in the seat. If Dad was in the field with the 77 and my brother and I didn't have other chores to do we were riding with Dad on the tractor. Of course back then we didn't have the internet with people telling other people what was safe and what wasn't. Most unsafe thing you can do is drive 55 on a two lane road meeting other people driving 55 slipping by with in a foot and a half in the rain or fog and you have no idea the skill of the person your meeting.
