Sold some standing hay by the bale one year. The farmer assured me he would be making 45 pound bales. Son and I went to the field one afternoon and decided to see how heavy the bales were. I could barly pick up one as could my 18 year old son. The year before we had 3500 bales and the hay buyer got only 2200 on a better year. We never sold anything to him after that. Set a price for it standing!
