Finally!! I didn't think anyone was going to speak about my pet peeve on homework! "The best part is they changed the way they teach lessons from when we went to school sometimes I can't even help my 3rd grader! Simple math has about 10 steps to get the answer. I show him a simple 2 step process and he is confused because that's not how they showed him in school." And to top it all off, we are supposed to help them, but when we do & it isn't done by the goofy method that they are now teaching, the kid gets a big red X!!!! Some of their current day multiplication methods would confuse & or wear out a PHD mathematician!!
