And it will keep getting worse, the farther America gets from agriculture. I have been out of high school 31 years. I NEVER took a book home until my second semester of my senior year. I decided I wanted to go to UNL, and thought my last semester of high school would impress them. Went from Bs and Cs to straight A. and yes I did go to 1 year at the U. For me it didn't matter what time I got home from school, I still had the same amount of work to get done. I think, in most cases, homework is for the teachers. You get some 23 year old, fresh out of college, and schools want to keep them busy. Just for the record, there is no way I could teach a bunch of kids no days either. SO I do applaud the teaching industry.
