I'm older than you by quite a little ways,but yea,like you I don't remember too much homework until junior high. Some in elementary,but not much.
From what I hear it's pretty much the norm to load them up these days though. Maybe they need to stop showing movies in class or teaching political correctness or self esteem and start giving them time to do their work.
