I farm with a neighbor, haul tractors to shows, may go out of state with GN, have semi with 80K farm license, and am insulin dependent diabetic. I finally got my insulin exemption CDL to drive interstate after more than 6 months of paper work with DC. I have to send paper work every 3 months and keep my blood sugar between 100 and 300 with a log. Was it worth it? No, if I never got caught but with DOT it was not worth the risk. The laws are so ambiguous and double speak that you need a lawyer but I don't think they would be smart enough to advise you of all the restrictions anymore.
