I got the letter from the DMV; My employer gave me a print out gathered all the info and sent all the paper work needed for all drivers to the DMV via e-mail. And on top of this I needed none of the above because my license needed renew in the last 2 years. For those of us that deal with CDL and medical cards this is a cake walk. Yes we need to go to the DMV every 2 years now just to submit our new medical card but we no longer need to carry a copy with us.
Since you did not ask and it seems you are going to just send in the proper paper work to keep current I will not go into the different areas of this. BUT I will say............ You will lose your CDL if you do nothing. Even if you are exempt; if you do nothing your CDL will be suspended.
