Went to Ozark Steam Engine Days in Republic MO yesterdy, and there were dozens and dozens seems like of Farmall"s there showing. But come time for the pulling, the A-C"s, Case"s and JD"s pulled, but no Farmalls even showed up to pull. Wonder why??
No Farmalls showing up to pull could be for several reasons. I have been pulling several years, and have been to pulls in several different states. What I have noticed is that tractor brands and models being pulled are different depending on where you are. Around where I'm from in Mid Missouri there are tons of MM and M Farmalls(in div 2), and fewer JD, and more often than not NO modified IH show up. When I have been to Iowa pulling, there were more JD, A LOT of M Farmalls, but MM was almost non existant. In Tunica MS, well, you see EVERYTHING in Tunica, but 460/560 Farmalls grow on trees down there, and yet farther north I don't see near as many of them.
