I think it may be older than a 1959. In order to be a 1959 the serial number must be between 5973 and 6807. The number you have may be the engine serial number. The tractor serial is usually on a plate on the clutch bell housing/hogshead, right in front of the shifting lever. I have a 1958 Economy ser. no. 5866. It has a B&S engine and brakes are operated with L shaped rods between the frame. But you said yours is a JD so maybe it does have levers to operate the brakes in 1959 but the serial number you gave is not 1959. Jim Dandy was made by the same company that made mine. Just a different style. There is also a Yahoo group for Power King tractors/
