It's a truly humungous rig, the biggest tractor JD made in the late 50's. If this is indeed what you are looking at, it's a lot of tractor for the average amateur mechanic to work on. The other possiblilty is that what you're really looking at is an 850 compact utility, which is indeed a three cylinder. This is a Japanese import (Yanmar) and is a heck of a tractor for the size. I've got the next model down, a 750, have had it for 10 years and no complaints. I can get you some more details on whichever one you're looking at. Let me know if you want more data.
