They used untreated fuel for the tests, what refinery-treated fuel actually tests at, I don"t know. For all a bottle of 2-stroke costs, I figure it"s cheap insurance.
The engine manufacturers would like to see the testing score under 460, and 2-stroke alone brings it down to within the margin of error of the test.
