Don't even think about it for a second!!!!! With only two layers it is absolutely impossible for it to generate enough heat to spontaneously combust. For future reference though, to ease your mind, to test for dryness before baling hold a blade of grass between your index finger and thumbnail, press hard and draw your thumb nail along the blade. If it changes to a slightly darker shade there is still moisture, if not it is dry. Perform this test on a blade from a heavy part of the windrow from inside.Try it first with a green blade. If you must leave the bales on the ground, unless it is powdery dry ground, turn them up on the cut edge. they will pull insignificant moisture that way.
