Yes they do. Used to be rules about how much trading you could do in the futures markets based on how much of the product you could produce/process/market/consume. When those rules were lifted people realized how much money they could make without having to handle any of it. Now with the computer trading going on, they can put out a couple large sell orders, let the market respond, then pull those orders and buy at the lower price, almost instantly. Western Livestock Journal recently had an article about a trading company doing just that and getting caught at it. The article was "Cheetah traders confound CME".
