Welcome to the club. There has been more problems with those wedge seals than enough. And it does not matter what kind you choose. Heck Victor Reinz did away with the wedge seals and put a tube of RTV in the gasket set to use there.
If it were me I would get the rubber set with the little spikes you drive in. Coat the wedges with RTV (including the metal to metal surface where the cap meets the block) install the wedges; install the cap; drive in the metal spikes to expand the rubber wedges. Once installed I would take some compressed air and blow on one side of the cap while spraying some bubble solution on the other side of the cap looking for possible leaks.
