Not asked to leave, but I think they were glad to see me go! Started in 1968 at Wilson & Co hog and beef kill plant in Cherokee Ia. It has changed hands several times over the last 45 yrs and is now owned by Tyson Foods. I started on the hog kill, then to the boiler & engine room, got downsized from there.. went to hot dog dept. From there to maint dept, and retired as "machinist/fabricator". I have plenty to do with 10 tractors and scads of guns. The wife isn't going to retire yet (goody goody) so I will have to keep myself busy. PS: I would have worked a few more years if Tyson hadn't taken over. I don't have a good word to say for those people.
