By the way, I'm dreaming of making a one row potato planter, based on your potato planting post from last spring. I have a home-made furrower/ridger, but I can't seem to drive in the same place twice, and my potatoes sometimes aren't under the center of the ridge when they sprout. I think I can add a drop tube, a small hopper, and a pan seat to my ridger and make a one-pass operation that will surely be better than what I'm doing now. I think I can find a wife or daughter-in-law to ride the seat.
