OK Folks. People are still yelling that Bush started illegal wars. With Afghanistan we were justified in going after Bin Laden but should have left when we discovered he had fled into Pakistan. With Iraq our justification came from Hussein when he offered to pay families of suicide bombers who attacked American targets. In both cases there was a direct threat against America. Syria is a "whole other ball game". They are not currently posing a threat against us. In fact if we launch any attack against them or even arm the rebels it could be considered an act of war by them. At that point they would be justified in asking other friend nations to assist them and to attack US interest and personnel. They could also ask that the UN place sanctions against US. Now we all know that the UN can't pass a resolution like that because we have veto power but a request would certainly hurt our creditability even more.
