Stuck exhaust valve on Honda generator engine. Model with belt drive. No compression when tried to start. Muffler must have been burnt out long before I got it in a trade. Thing is LOUD. pulled muffler to get to valve springs and lifter. Exhaust stuck open. Could not get loose through exhaust port or by working with spring. placed cap from water bottle in exhaust port, drilled small hole on top side of cap. Pumped ATF through hole to flood top of valve guide. after an hour begin to slightly tap compressed valve spring to achieve vibration. after few min of vibration with ATF it popped down. I am thinking of adding small amount of ATF to gasoline in future to lube valve guide. Sure hope valve is ok as parts are listed as obsolete
