There's a real simple reason for it. Around here if you so much as get into your vehicle to think about moving it you've either got a clerk running out after you or they call the cops. There's been so many cases of gas and dash that they're pretty quick to chase after you. I sometimes fill my tandem at a station in town because they have pretty good discounts some days on fuel.... but with two tanks on the truck I have to turn it around to fill the second tank. I turned one day and the poor kid behind the counter nearly took a heart attack when I had nearly 400 bucks on the pump and he though I was making a break for it. The look on his face was PRICELESS. So... that's why most people never move a vehicle after they fill anymore unless it's a very local station where they know the staff well. It's just more trouble than it's worth.
