Any time there is such a large event of a competitive nature that brings out-of-state people, you will get the bad apples. This report pales in comparison to what happens during the Black Expo in Indy every year.
I do think the event organizers and Scheid Diesel should be billed for the necessary law enforcement overtime and any state and county equipment damaged keeping their participants under control.
I am really surprised it didn't garner a piece from an enviro nazi. I enjoy the sound, power and smell of diesel, but the excessive black smoke crap on the street is getting annoying and is disrespectful. This un-responsible "tuning" of diesel trucks is what has brought on the diesel regulations that have removed almost all the reasons for diesel. It is not 1963, diesels don't need to smoke to be powerful. I would be more impressed with posting the power numbers the tuners do with no smoke.
