We had one guy that was a scrap dealer in town that died after 50 years and the place went out of business. I started taking scrap there in the 60s. We weighed at the feed mill first and called other dealers farther awary for a price. It seemed I spent more time arguing with him about the price then loading and unloading. And, the weight always changed short weigh, using metric, short ton, have a worker putting a pinch bar under the scale, etc,etc. I was convinced my father liked to watch me argue with him. But, we always ended with a fair check. His nationality will not be mentioned here for obvious reasons. Today kids are either too lazy or do not know the value of anything they have worked for.

Today's Featured Article - Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub.
