Thanks for the replies to my post the other day about the oil leaking into the engine. I finally got the coolant system cleaned out again over the weekend and got a chance to check the oil cooler again. I had done it before with compressed air and dunked in water, and saw absolutely no bubbles. This time I did it on the engine with it running. What I did was to disconnect the coolant lines running to it and block them off. Then I fired up the engine and let it run for nearly 10 minutes with no leaks to be seen. With the engine warm I decided to go ahead hit the load start button and actually let the compressor come to the design pressure and put at least a little load in it...again, no leaks. So, I took it a step further and opened one of the valves so it could start blowing and put a real load on it. It went for maybe 5 minutes like that before I started seeing oil coming out of the open coolant ports on the cooler.
I don't know what part of the cooler is leaking but it didn't spill a drop until the engine hit between 150 and 160 degrees, and was put under a load. So, with the problem now identified without a doubt, there will be a new one going on tomorrow and the thing will finally be out of my hair.
