Yep, just found that with the 03 Duramax at work. That unit that goes bad is on the frame rail under the driver"s seat and I"m told runs about $1700 from the dealer. You can get rebuilds cheaper but they aren"t worth the time to put them in. Amazing what pulling that fuse can do.
I put the fuse back in because the door dinger dings for about 30 seconds the first time you hit the brakes while moving after start-up, and it doesn"t stop bad without the trailer on. The fuse will get pulled when I"m hauling cattle again.
