Sounds like you'll be coming west while we're headed back east. If you're driving from the airport, use I-476W to I-76. That'll get you to Harrisburg, where I-83/283 will get you around east of Harrisburg. Be careful as you get past Harrisburg where you get to I-81, and stay in the left lane. If you are in the right lane, you go to Allentown, and the last time I was up there, it is a bit confusing. Once you get past the I-81 split, get in the right lane to get to US-322 West. It's about a four hour trip from Philly to State College. But APD is a sight to see. Biggest thing is to have fun....
