Had bad carburator flooding problems at start-up with a '75 Dodge D200 pickup with a 318 2V carb. The dealer and another local garage could never get it to start easily cold. The best thing I did with was to change the automatic choke to a manual choke. That truck started and drove much better after that. A later '84 pickup with the same engine did not have those same problems.
