You can pull the cutters off and sharpen them. I've found that I can use a sharp set until it starts cutting slow, then just flip them over and go again. After flipping them and wearing the back side down they have to be sharpened - a second flip does no good, ha. If you get tangled up in that digger while trying to push it down, it'll hurt you bad. I remember an old digger that we used to have that had a socket that you could insert a 6' pipe in and then you could push it down by hand without getting close enough to get wrapped up in it. If I remember right, that old digger did not have replaceable cutters - they were welded on.
