coons, like other forms of wildlife are losing their fear of man. killed one at the bird feeder mid afternoon the other day. deer have wizened up and know when to feed and how to feed even though many tactics are taken to deter them. deer have also varied their diet to include: tomato vines including green and red tomatoes, okra plants and the pods, pepper plants and fruit. included also are the usual, green beans and field peas. did i mention, ornamental gourd vines? this is in nw al. skunks are also exhibiting less seclusion.
