You have no waterpump on that tractor, thermosyphen only and I know on the Deeres that were that way it was hard to get them filled with water and would leave an air pocket where the guage is at and they would not read anything as they need to be in the liquid to work, not air. And mix your antifreeze and water before you put in radiator as putting the antifreeze in and then finnishing filling with water it will not circulate as should. You might try filling the radiator with the guage sender out and as the liquid is running out install the sender.
