Here in Louisvillle area ,,you can buy out of field for 3-4 per bale ,, once in the barn $4-6 or more for good quality alfalfa.... by the ton , I would travel on craiglist and see what hay goes by the ton for ,, keep in mind the weather conditions in that area ,, seems like 140-180 per ton I saw in Nebraska a while back before this crop came in ...
