Morning folks, a guy about 40 miles from me has this tractor for sale in a local add. He claims it runs good but has very little power through the wheels. He says the backhoe was used for digging out stumps and rarely used the bucket. I heard a guy who went to buy it initially say it couldn't make it up the lowboy ramps and backed out of the deal. The owner is asking $3500 which seems a little high to me for a old unit with possible transmission issues. What's you opinion of these old backhoes for home-farm use, are any parts available and what would be a reasonable offer? If I can buy this thing right I have the shop to make something workable out of it but is it do-able? Thanks all, Tom B.
