Bought one coming off lease in '08(I think). It only had 17000 km.The original owner (lessee?) had paid for the gold warranty.Chrysler put most of a new front suspension in it under warranty but it has given no trouble since. The Caliber was built and marketed as a low price vehicle so nothing is any better than it has to be in my opinion.Having said that it is good on gas and once you get used to the CVT gearbox they are OK but only OK.The market value is low so figure to own it for the rest of its life.I might not buy another one but I don't intend to sell mine.
My wife has mobility issues and this is one of the few vehicles she can get in and out of easily. We had a Ford Focus before but she got stuck in the driveway when I was away at work a couple of times. The Caliber goes through snow better than the Focus.
