Few think about what could happen to others if......
Few think about if saving a few minutes or cutting a few corners could cause them to have a trip to the hospital or funeral home, or could send someone else there.

If YOU don't want to worry about the other guy, even when you see an obvious problem, great. If YOU don't want your employees telling you about another employee's lack of safety, or don't want them bothering the other employee directly, because they're not "the boss", great. It might just get YOU or someone YOU know injured or dead someday, long before any DOT official ever has a say in the matter or anybody else has a care in the world.
If giving a darn about being "legal" and "safe" or having concern for the same for/about those around me ever got me fired, I really wouldn't want to be working there, anyway.
