A lot of tractors out there can run both. Some you just have to change the shaft, others you change the shaft and shift something. Depends on the tractor . I just recently picked up a1000 rpm setup for our massey 285. Dad bought the tractor in the early 80s and never had a need for one. We didn't either but the shaft is hard to get and since we got it, we used it on the sprayer pump.
