We are in the same boat over here. We finished harvest on Monday. Folks stopped trying with double crop beans - if it doesn't rain soon the ones that are already in the ground aren't going to make it either.
I'm not sure what to do with the ground I was going to hay. It is tall but all seed. After last year it was so stressed that it didn't do well - brome was pretty good but fescue suffered. I think I will run over the tops and shatter the seed down hoping that it will rain again someday.
Everyone said it would do this - another drought but a fake out initially. I had such high hopes.
I run water in the hog pen each day but I can't even get a good mudhole. It all just disappears. The hogs just lay under the water pipe hoping for part of the cold trickle.
