My 63 3010 did that when I got it. I went completely through the dash shifter with new bushings and shims and yokes and pins on the linkages. Adjusted by the book and it shifted OK, then adjusted by feel and it shifts good now. Very solid and hasn't jumped out or ground since.
You may stiil need shaft work but try this first.
