I had a gravely 260 Z turn, had the mandatory gravely bushing, with an inaccessible grease fitting (every gravely mower must have at least one hidden fitting!). Anyway as this bushing let the front end twist to follow terrain, it also wore, letting the mower sag in the middle. As it sagged, the back of the deck dropped down. I lost a customer over the quality of cut, and clippings issue. New parts would have been $800. I took it all apart and welded in a backhoe bushing, and put the grease fitting in a visible place, where the grease can run downhill, instead of uphill, like them gravely engineers think. After running it 3700 hours, I finally unloaded it at an auction, to an unscrupulous tractor jockey. Went out and celebrated and bought a Dixie Chopper, Now that's a well built mower!
