I recently acquired an old Ford Ferguson System tractor. The gentleman that gave it to me did not have any paperwork with it....it was given to him...and has no idea what year/model it is. I would like to know what I have so I can start the rebuild project. I have looked in most of the usual places and could only find one number on the engine on the left side. Should I assume that this is the serial number and go from there? The number is not in the best shape and a little hard to read. I have pictures if that might help. From what I have gleaned so far on the net I suspect it might be a 2N.
