The only thing that really comes to mind for me is the wet brakes on these tractors. Different additives affect them in different ways. Some times even using the latest oil from same dealer can have adverse effects in a tractor that has not given a problem. Sooooo, it gets to be crap shoot. I do know one of my friends uses John Deere hy-guard in all of his IH tractors and it gets mixed with the Versatile and Cat also with no problems I have seen.
