Your injection pump is failing. It goes into what is called "limp mode". When it goes flat, try putting in the clutch and see if it comes out of it right away. It might get you by for awhile doing that but eventually, you will need a new pump. Get a gauge on it if you don't already have one and see what your fuel pressure is. Anything above 5 lbs. is ok. It should be throwing a code if your doing the check properly.
