You're right about it being a discomfort on a tractor, I was running my neighbors 3150 JD and the seat put a lot of pressure on my right leg as if you were sitting on high bench with your legs dangling, after awhile its very uncomfortable, I cannot sit in any chair for long that puts any pressure on the back of the leg mid thigh, above the knee. With the 3150, the seat was a good one, but the track its in was seized I could not get it adjusted back or whatever and I sat in that seat quite a bit that summer, just had to stop and stretch a bit to alleviate it every so often.
