I didn't exactly know what "right hand thread" and "left hand thread" meant, so I looked it up...
Right hand thread is "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey."
Left hand thread is the opposite.
This is as you look "down" on the head of the bolt.
A Woods mower meant for a Farmall B should have left-handed threads, which means turn them right (clockwise) to loosen.
Of course someone could have mounted a Woods mower for a Farmall Cub on the B by purchasing/fabricating the correct brackets, and re-routing the belt. In that case the bolts will loosen by turning them counterclockwise.
