DO not rake it before a rain. If it is still real green leave it in the windrow just like the mower put it. If it is a little dry than ted it. The rain will go through it batter tedded. Plus any mashed down by the tractor will be back up on top of the stubble. You will more than likely have to ted it after the rain too but the hay will be a better quality.
