My wife is an old farm gal. She always said she'd rather cultivate corn than do housework. Although she does OK at the housework, too.
When I was farming, before no-till, come planting time in the spring she'd work the ground ahead of me with one tractor and I'd follow with the planter. We'd get done in a hurry.
Our next door neighbor married a city gal who'd probably never been on a farm til they met in college. Within a year or two, she could wheel a big John Deere and 28' disc around as good as any male who'd grown up on a farm.
