Fuel milage is running in the 8's now. That's about what I thought it would get, but I'm still hoping for more. She's got almost 60k on it now. The tag axle is great for everything except off road. Works great in the snow and rain and dry, but I get stuck in my driveway because it's sandy and I have to back in. You can go through quite a bit going forward but if you back up and spin even a little your done. The tires are ok so far. I don't know if it's the tires or truck but this is the best riding and handling truck I've ever driven, and that includes a new 2005 pete. It rides smooth and stays straight down the road even in the wind. The trany is a work of art is the only way I can think of to describe it. It shifts perfectly smooth both up and down. It's like it reads your mind, just when you think you want to shift it does. Over all I LOVE the truck. I would be hard pressed to pick one thing that is the best because it is all good for what it does. The only shortcommings are the tag off road, but I don't do that anyway, and it needs another gear on the bottom. If you have a full load and need to start out up hill it gets tough. It has always got going but one time I had to really get on it to make it go. Didn't like that to much.
