I have a lot of respect for the Amish, but they're like anyone else, some bad apples there too. From what I know of them, the various differences between one group from another is dependant upon their local bishop who determines what technology they can use. They have a lot of children and I read that about 97% remain in the Amish culture - that's a lot better average the farm kids staying on the farm.
